I unfortunately had to evict a tenant, belongings left at the property are now legally mine; one of which a Toshiba laptop.
It was password protected so I did what I have done 100x with my own PC's and ran Gparted (Linux Gnome Partition Editor) to reformat the partitions.
I then did a clean, fresh install of Win7x64 but ran into an issue I've never encountered.
None of the network adapter or ethernet drivers are installed, so I can't connect to the internet (even a wired cat5 connection). Everything else about the install went clean.
So then I looked online for the drivers I needed, to put them on a thumb drive and then transfer them to the laptop.
Issue is, I can't find any drivers that work. I've tried dozens of Realtek or Atheros network drivers (my research shows it should be one of these?) both from Toshiba support web page or some 'questionable' driver webpages as well, and spent hours googling.
I'm usually pretty good at fixing this stuff on my own but I'm out of ideas! Please, any suggestions?
